yup, fix the pH and be VERY careful ferting because your soil is VERY 'hot' already.

stinkyattic Reviewed by stinkyattic on 07-06-2007. im a little concerned i was given this girl about a week back, she was 15 days old whne i got her, shes a clone from her mother, sitting under 2 cfls right now, a 42watt 2700k, and a 23watt 5500k 18/6, shes in an 8" round pot with jungle growth soil, tht has fertilizer in it 25-12-12 soil ph is at about 7.8 growing indoors/closet. my first grow, so im learning what i can. any help is welcome Rating: 5

i havent put any fert in that soil for that reason, she still small so im tihnking aobut getting a nutral soil with not nutes in it, and use peters 20-20-20, every 2 waterings if i go that route, would pool ph down work to drop the ph? and i should bring it down to what 6.5?

20-20-20 is NOT an appropriate cannabis fert. Can you use it? Maybe. Will you have problems? Likely!!!

Pool pH adjusters are a different set of chemicals and you really owe it to yourself to pick up plant pH down when you go look at cannabis-specifice ferts (a good veg fert!). In the meantime, it is safer to use cider vinegar- just a little goes a long way- to drop your pH, but TEST your solution before using it.

You're gonna go farther with your plants and get more out of this forum if you calm down and show respect and maturity. Flat white paint and mylar are much better reflectors as they don't create hot spots, which tin foil does.

Even if you don't agree with what someone said, there's really no need to have a fit and start cussing people out. Even if you feel someone may have been a bit rude to you, that's not a good enough reason to do that either. Keeping it up will probably get you banned. And if you actually care about it you'd apologize sincerely and hope to make amends and move past this.
