Just picked this up the other night, cant wait to smoke a fat bowl, but i was wondering, you'll notice the bowl has no portective screen or gauzz. Do i have to put a screen on it b4 smoking or is it ok without ??

It depends on how fine you're busting up your weed. If you like it grinded fine (smaller than the hole in the bowl) you'll want to use a screen or a small pebble so that you aren't sucking in all the weed. If not, you should be good.
