I am so fucking freaked out right now..I go and get a kiwi (mm) and as I'm walking to my room I look up and see a giant fucking centipede on my ceiling. I flipped a shit and made my mom kill it, except she didn't kill it, because she's half asleep and doesn't give a shit..instead it ran somewhere..but because I was too busy freaking out/crying I didn't see where the fucker went..and it was RIGHT OUTSIDE MY DOOR. Now it's 4 in the morning, and I'm scared Rating: 5

I was living in New Zealand a couple years back and they have these giant native insects called wetas - Weta - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They are large by insect standards, some species among the largest and heaviest in the world. Their physical appearance is that of a cross between a cockroach and a cricket with the addition of large legs.

Yeah I was sitting in the living room watching some film.. And I could actually hear one of these beasts climbing up the fuckin curtains.. :wtf3:

Thankfully I wasn't stoned when I looked round and saw two marble sized black shiny eyes and a pair of greasy segmented legs in my face.. I actually would've puked.

apparently camel spiders actually arnt that big according to other pictures, and sources on the internet, that pic is fake

its not fake, its just 2 spiders mating and hanging on each other which makes it look bigger than it is

lol i let mine crawl around on me, sometimes i lose him tho. in which case i have to be very careful about finding him.

i've got him high so many times tho, i think he's retarded now......


and damn too many people already beat me to it. camel spiders are neat, they eat everything, not just the insides, they eat flesh too.

Man I so wish I wouldn't have been so pissed at the thing when it bit me, or else I would've kept it.

These bugs are dirty as fuck. I hate creepy crawlies. If I saw that centipede in my room I would have had to catch it cause I couldnt sleep knowing that thing was still roaming around my room. But if I saw one of them wetas I would freak and run out screaming. Im glad I live in England for that reason. We have lots of spiders (which I hate) and other little nastys but nothing the size of these dirty bastards.
