    CO2. Is it worth it

    Hi peops,

Just wondering if you experienced growers out there think co2 makes a big difference to yield.

I will be starting my second grow in a couple of weeks and have read Encatuse's link on how to make a "yeast co2 maker" and it seems quite simple but will it give me much more bud.

    Cheers

I am not sure about the yeast co2, but Co2 increases yield dramaticly, I saw a 12 percent shift up on average when I added it to my room, but I have a Co2 diffuser system, so cannot answer anything about the yeast, but it makes sense.

    Howdy colliefish,

I've always thought, that co2 would not be very effective,if you don't have the light intensity,to take advantage of the increased co2 levels. So,if ya don't have 300watts or more ,of high intensity light, then you're not really gaining much...am I wrong ?

    Would co2 help in a low-intensity grow ?

    Have a good one...Torog

Plants use Co2 as fuel and a rich supply certainly increases the growth rate no matter what lighting is used. This is especialy true in rooms with poor ventilation. You can have all the lights in the world, but without Co2 then photosynthesis is significantly hampered. Another consideration is that urban air contains about 5 x more Co2 than in rural areas. This is due to cars, population and various home heaters. Who would of thought that smog was ever a good thing! If you're growing in the winter months and need additional heat, then using a gas heater is excellent because the by-product of burning gas in water vapour + Co2.

Basicaly it aint gonna hurt, so try it out and let us know how it goes.

unfucking real,,take the co2 and shove it out the fucking door,,percentages, amounts, all kinds of effects my ass,,,it is a waist of money and ideas(mind fucks yourself),,if you have the lighting,,thats all you need and a little air vent to prevent mold,,,,,,it is just another way to take your money for a grow that you can produce better if you no how,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,show me pics of c02,,,not a problem,,except for the money,,if runs out,,and no money,,now who is going to buy it...,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,worry your head over nothing at all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Jack

    CO2. Is it worth it

Hi Bro!! Well I had plenty of yeast in the house so I decided to try it as an experiment. So I took a 1 gallon jar and mixed my own, I bake a lot so I know a bit about yeast. I'm gonna use it for 3 days and see if I notice any differance at all. With only the 2 in full flower it should be plenty in a gallon. Nothing to lose, so why not right? I'll let ya know, Sis

Hi ya Bro!! Yeah, I have it covered with cheeseclothe, so no bugs. I am kinda thinking of using a 10 gallon pail though. That way I can add 10 lbs of crushed fruit and make a decent wine. The health food store has the stuff that stops the fermentation so it won't go to vinegar (for 1.96 here). I don't drink but if I do put some up it may make nice gifts next Christmas. I'm thinking maybe apples and pears would be nice. Maybe more of a liquor than wine but it may be fun. Sis
