in itself, legalization is a small thing. as a symptom, this prohibition is an important sign post. it reminds us that governments exist for their own welfare and that the people should not settle for the illusion of freedom. as governments consolidate their political and economic powers and offer us short term gains at the expense of control over our own destinies, we have to keep our eye on where that path leads.
I must agree, but, now we need your revered advice on how to bring it back to the people. Out side of armed insurection (Which would be squashed like a bug on a windshield) I can't see the people being intelligent enough to even notice the changes for the worse. Feed them enough fast food and TV and you can do anything to them without them noticing. I'll bet not one out of a thousand even knows the 4th amendment, or the second etc.
