Do you think you drive better or worse when smoking? I don't think it makes much of a difference to me. I took part in a research study at Wake Forest Baptist Medical center on the effects of marijuana/driving/balance/sleep deprivation, and during the simulated driving portion, I did not hit any of the barriers that popped up, so I guess they were only testing reaction time.

i think it all depends on the person because everyone is different on weed. Iv been with good drivers, and iv driven with bad drivers. I on the other hand, i think i am a good driver... but dont we all think we are all good drivers. lol

When i was inexperienced, it had somewhat of an effect on my driving, which i was able to avert just by paying attention... Now it really has no effect because im used to it, if im really really high tho ill usually wait maybe like 20 minutes.

I've been driving and smoking ever since I started..well...driving and smoking. I've never had a problem with it, and I feel just as, if not more confident when I'm baked. I always seem to focus on the important details. Driving has always come naturally to me, and I consider myself a good one at that. Smoking doesn't impair my ability to drive in the least bit.

It's just driving...while stoned. I do, however, recommend having a fair amount of experience with the holy herb before driving under the influence. If you're one of those who still gets uncontrollably high where you just feel so ridiculously fucked...you probably shouldn't be driving. It's all a matter of preference and experience.

when i first started smoking i would have to stop smoking so i could drive and not just completely zone out, but now if i am driving somewhere i smoke for the drive, lol

I don't like driving stoned and avoid it as much as possible. And I will NEVER get on the bike stoned, even a little. Weed effects my driving far worse than alcohol ever did, even those times I knew I should not have been driving. I feel like I have NO balance stoned, and have a tough time quickly identifying potential obstacles like people pulling out of side streets.

If its cold outside, I cant drive high worth a damn. I mean real cold, under 35f out cold. I get all uptight and nervous, and over paranoid for no reason other then the temp.

Any other temp, especially warm slightly breezy night time weather, and I am a freakin awesome high driver, and love doing so. I could drive for hours with no problems at all.

i always believe this.....

if you can drive good sober your gonna drive better high.

if you drive bad while sober, you are gonna have a long drive home while high.

im not driving yet but i have many friends who do and iv'e noticed this with them.

Ive driven over 100,000 miles sober, and about 150,000 miles stoned. As long as I can sit up straight I can drive. Excellently. But thats just me.. I can be rediculously fucked up beyond belief, and not just stoned, and execute a precise e-brake 180, drop it in reverse, keep going and execute a reverse 180 and keep on rolling. In fact, I got pulled over for doing that by THE county sherrif lmao.

Unfortunately not everybody is the same way, so please understand how you are affected and act accordingly. One reason why Im a better driver while stoned is because Im more cautious and for the most part I drive slower. Weed can absolutely lower response time.. unless you realize this and force yourself to be more perceptive.

Not only do I drive safer when Im stoned, I also have a blast doing it.
