lo i never STOLE -stole it , i too it when the sign was beig distroyed , more like a save.

but yah... its to fat to fit into a regular socket .. sooo i was wonderin if there was a way to hook it u to just plug it into the wall??... or not??

You need to know WHAT KIND of ballast to buy too. MH, MV, or HPS all operate a bit differently.
If it is from a tear-down, ask the contractors if they have the rest of the light. Well if you feel safe doing that.
I recently scored 4 HPS 250 ballasts from a construction dumpster, and asked the contractors if they had the bulbs- yup! They gave me 6 of them, all boxed up, because they had to be recycled seperately!
This to me is the best part of legitimately scavenging!
