wtf man can't get high

im new to lighting up and I cant seem to get high. ive smoked like 5 times and have gotten a very light buzz but nothing good. im pretty sure im inhalin because i feel it in my lungs and i usually end up coughing. any idea wtf is up?

I smoked about 8 times until I got high. take it slow and get used to it. if you're coughing hard right away you're inhaling too much. remember: it's not a competition.

it also helps to get in a fresh breath of oxygen right after your hit. (if you're not inhaling correct, you'll feel the smoke go down from your mouth to your lungs. nobody told me that when i was getting into it.)

same thing happened with my friend...he couldn't get high for like the first 4 times but as time passed he started feeling it...so just take your time man or you can try some stronger bud...

It took me about 3-4 times to get high. It is normal. I don't know why though. Some people get high their first time, but most don't.

You could be smokimg shit weed or you could not be inhaling it.

I remeber my very first time smoking I didn't get high, but I also remeber not inhaling ciggs. right at the time and perhaps I didn't inhale that joint at all. I'm not really sure, but I do remeber when I finally taught myself to inhale, and it was tobacco. I got so bloody sick! It was awful.

The second time I smoked though was out of my dads old bong and I got blitzed.

So yeah, just make sure you are inhaling the smoke. Better weed helps too. If you're smoking shitty weed then you won't get anywhere.

If you're coughing, then you're inhaling, but try to take smaller hits so you don't cough as much. You could just be smoking some shitty bud though. And as it was already said, it takes most people a handful of tries before they get high. Do not be discouraged, just keep trying. I remember a few years ago, it took like 12 tries for my buddy to get high.
