A Big Reality Check
First sorry if this gets long. 3 Years ago I met this guy S----- and he was the shit. He was, well is one of the hottest and most outgoing guy I know. I was instantly in love with him. (In a friend way) We instantly hit it off and have been good friends ever since. So after us being pretty close he got into some bad shit and became a her-- addict. He shut off a lot of people including myself. When I saw him after a few months he looked like the walking dead. He stole a shit load of money from his mom and moved to acrioss the country to get clean. He came back and begged everyone to forgive him. We all did because we were just happy he was alive. He had died in the hospital once from the drug and it really changed him. He was still a hard ass and used too many drugsd, sold too many drugs, and banged too many girls. He always seemed invincible. He always seemed like such a lucky person even though he had been through soe rough shit he always seemed to come out perfectly on the other side.. He had been arrested so many times and always managed to get the smalled sentence because he was such a charmer. He once was so lucky he hit a dear going about 70 and got his car totalled, I mean this thing loooked messed up, and he didn't have a scratch on him. I used to love being around him every day and I couldn't ever get enough of him, he was sucha free thinker and a really genuine person. So about 3 weeks ago he dropped off the face of the earth. His cell was off, and I never felt like bnothering any of his friends (who I wasn't really friends with in the fist place) So yesterday I got a letter in the mail. He aparently got busted with a sheet of lucy and over a pound of weed, he got 12 years. Maybe even more. But the part about the letter that really shocked me was that I found out he has AIDS. I never would have guesssed. This really made me look back on shit and realize that no one is invinclble (although I really think he thought he was) And it just really made me want to change my ways. My other best guy friend in currently in rehab in florida, and the other in boot camp. I am greatful I never got into some of the things they did. It jus really made me take another look at shit. It also really frekaed me out because I was intimate with him once. But thankf god I have been tested since then. I'm so glad we used a condum!

Heroin is one of the few things I refuse to ever try, not just because I have a needle phobia. That reality check sounds so bizarre, heartbreaking, and uncannily familiar to other heroin stories. Use drugs but don't let drugs use you, and for heroin I never see the possibility of a happy ending.

A Big Reality Check
I met a guy a few weeks ago, he uses heroin..he uses it everywhere and anywhere. He's really good looking and a really nice guy, but he threw his life away. He's 26 years old and lives with his parents still, he doesn't have a good job..(construction?) and he constantly needs to go into the shittier part of my state to get his fix..and my friend has been his ride recently. I've never seen anyone shoot up until meeting this guy and honestly, I may not be an angel but seeing that makes me want to leave. I went to a party of his and slept over (with my friends) and all night he was..off..but when he woke up, sober..he was the biggest sweetheart I've ever met until he started craving. It sucks, seeing someone lose their life to drugs. I lost my little brother, a few of my best friends and many of my acquaintances. Some of them are still HERE, but not..HERE. yanno, some of them are in jail, some of them basically just dropped off the face of the earth.
Anyway, sorry for the rant/ramble. I feel ya, hon. Sometimes I look around, at my life, at my friends and wonder what will it take to change everything?

Oh, by her-- addict, I thought you were referring to "tina", or meth. Heroin ran over my hometown of Amsterdam, NY. I left before my memories could be harmed.

Its really hard to find out that someone you thought was invincible is so vulnerable.
If I were you I would get tested again just as a precaution. HIV doesnt always show up right away when you get tested.

That fuckin' sucks! Those hardcore drugs can really fuck someone up and will usually get the better of them in the long run. It's sad but true.
