I remember where I put all my stuff too, so you might be in for some questioning.

What if he is one of those "An eighth lasts me 2 months" type of smokers. They tend to roll a few joints, and take one or two hits every once in a while, and they smoke one joint for like 3 weeks. In that case, they will miss the 1/2 joint. Myself, I'd probably just chalk it up to "lost" but I would surely know if I smoked it or not. Then I might be up all night looking for it...

Was it at least good stuff? Maybe you'll be off the hook if you replace his schwagg with dank. LOL
