This kind of has to do with drug testing, but if a person fails a test, can that become public knowledge? Just curious if anyone knows, I still haven't heard the word for my drug test that I took Friday, but I'm afraid that if I failed and look for another job, my new prospective employer would know I failed one.

Generally no. The only time this information might be shared is if testing for DOT jobs. If you apply for a truck driving job for example and you fail, then this will follow you around if you apply for another DOT job. There may be a time limit I forgot.
