LED Grow Lights

I only grow in the winter (6 to 8 months pr year)
having a large WATT`S grow setup as for a big power bill is something I`m trying to avoid but on the same hand I`donâ??t want to sacrifice yield or quality .....running 1200w for 12/12 is not to bad (60 - 80 $ pr month )
it`s the mother , clone & veg room that use the most power $ $ $
I`m just trying to find a god setup that is not to over kill on the electric bill !

Take a look around your house, not just your growroom, and save every kilowatt you possibly can. Replace all your incandescent bulbs with cfl's. Makes sure you only use lights in the room you are in, conserve power every way you can.

Clones, truly, need very little light, so the savings with led's would be miniscual. The mothers you want to veg quick, so you aren't going to like what led's do to your mother plants.

Better you should find your power savings outside the growroom. If you are only growing in the cooler months, are you using the waste heat from your hps to heat your house? That alone could save you some significant bucks.
