As far as I know it's ultimately the best way to burn. If I was stranded on a desolate island I would make sure to have a bong with me. As the adage goes "with a bong, the only thing wasted is you."
Plus, the smoke is extra harsh when you don't use some sort of filter, especially harsh when you're toking from a bong. You don't even have to let the smoke sit to get a nice, stale taste.
