I had a beautiful little girl 2 weeks into budding, when the little bitch showed her true colors! I noticed at the bottom of the buds; little footballs and I knew I should take her out and shoot her, but I just couldn't do it, shes just too pretty. So I made another flowering chamber and put it in a different room.
Over the next couple of days I spent about 10 hours going up and down each branch removing the little footballs. I waited about 4 days and did another search and found about 1/2 dozen more starting to open, so I clipped them and put them in a vial for pollen. that was about a week and a half ago and since I've found a couple more that were open, so I collected those as well.
Now I realize that I'll probably have some seeds, thats OK. I'm wondering will the plant continue to produce male flowers or is my battle over for the most part? And if the plant fertilizes itself will the seeds be viable and will they most likely produce a specific sex?
So far I haven't been able to find much info on hermies.
