Ipod problem

Whenever i plug my ipod into my computer, its not showing up on itunes. The computer is recognizing that i have hardware connected to the computer but its not showing up for itunes. There are about 10 songs i really want to put on my ipod and this is very aggravating. Any help would be appreciated

restart itunes while its still connected

I used to have that problem but that usually does the trick if not then restart the computer while its still connected.

Try that and see if anything works.
