    help wiv my e.c. readings ? ? ? ? ?

    my ec is reading 1.8 in my nutes tank an 0.6 in normall water is this correct 4 my first phase of growing

    Hmm... seems high.

    'Specially the .6 in yer source water- fair bit of something in there.

    The increase in EC that yer reporting when you add yer nutes isn't out of range, depending on the products used- but it's a lot.

    Would be useful to know what the water source and the nutrients of choice are. Certainly source water @ 400 ppm could be problematic.

    im useing vita link an vitalink bio pak. if i just teat my water normally it is ph 7 an 0.6 ec ! im i using 2 much nutes if when ive added it comes 1.7/1.8 .............. is that the cf of 12 ? hmm im really stuck hear. they seem 2 b taking 2 my system tho now as they were clones which i bought

    what kind of meter do you have ? Do you have calibration solutions ? It will help us help you.

    A lot people use R/O water. the city I have has water that has 580 PPM right out of the tape. I bought a r/o water filter and a 55 gallon tank just for this reason.

    i use a hydrogarden ec stick which just gives me a basic ec reading of 0.0 and when i put in my source water which is just tap water ? it reads 0.6 i guess this is a bit high ! is there anyway of trating the soultion first b4 u add the netes ?. do i need 2 callibrate this 2 as it says it was already done in the factory.

    Meters should be tested and or calibrated every week or two. I have had some that were off from the factory and some spot on. I always had to adjust it sooner or later. If your meter does not compensate for temps it can read alittle high or low. I have found it can be the most expensive item you buy for hydro. You need calibration solution just to check.
