i dread this day
i'm just wondering, and you don't have to answer if you are uncomfortable, but have you and your wife had other children since then? if you haven't, your wife's deep and incredible pain is understandable, and will probably never completely diminish. my grandma had a baby die days after its birth and my cousin had a miscarriage, and both of them said they felt the deepest pain they'd ever felt, pretty much every day until they had another child.
but even if you do have other children, i can imagine the loss still feeling very intense around this time of year. not to downplay the pain you're feeling, but i know many women would feel a totally indescribable sense of loss in the wake of their young baby's death... who had already been developing a deeply psychological bond with the baby growing inside her for nine months. not that i've been pregnant, but i'm trying to offer a female's perspective.
i'm sorry, i wish i could say more comforting things.
