Do you mean selecting a home to live and grow in? If so, I'd first move to a state with less harsh cultivation penalties and/or an area that doesn't have any police choppers equipped with thermal sensors flying by.

Hey, you say about the choppers with thermal cameras. You know of any way to protect your grow room/box against being seen??

Never thought of that...maybe some kind of thermal protector like a blanket that heat can't be seen through with there heat equipment to line your room with,but this could create a heat problem if the ventalation is not good enough.
Remember this is just an idea...may not work...may kill your plant...but it makes sence to me.If it works let us all know.

I was under the impression that thermal cameras required a warrant. I find it hard to believe they are flying other times during the year outside of the regular growing season to begin with. Can you imagine what a city would look like under a thermal camera in winter? Are they going to go door to door and check every hot spot?

The law and you, to get around the law of have in warrent is easly by passed . When they do get a warrent they use a wide angle cameras for a free look. Venting under a spa or a heating vent is a way around it. Next is to use insulation with a breating layer . This stops build up of heat that acculiulates (buildups SP ) around you room/s . You can buy Ir film at a good photo store and look at your house/trailer/grow room/ under ground system. Note the x and + on the roads are indexing points for the ir camers of the building departments. The go up so high and to take pictures and can find bootleged houses and additions real easly.
If you want to see how easy it is go to google earth and look at your house. That is the visible and the Ir is someplace else.
Also note a 100 watt bulb can be seen from space with the right lens on the spy cameras. Hells fuzzy you can see one from 35,000 feet in a plane.
95% of the bust are from loose lips,, usualy the growers. ????
The U.S. and the Russians can read sub headlines of a news paper from space.
The fun one thats the troops use is the spy ones to look at woman naked in there backyards.

They said this summer that theres well over 5000 large grow houses just in 1 city in canada, and aren't the cities bigger down there? And the only big bust that made the news was an abandoned molson brewery plant , a huge building with millions of plants growing and hundreds of people working there for years. I'l be smokin this girl for xmas and new years. :smokin:

I live in Canada and watched the news the other day and the Police Cheif of Toronto even admitted himself that there is so many ma and pa grow ops they have no way of taking them down!,he also said that for every grow op they take down 3 or 4 new grow ops start up! he said it looks as if Canadians are out growing the Goverment!...............but the best part of the Police of cheifs interview with the Local news up in T.O. was when he estimated that there is about 1 grow op on every street in Toronto! and he said that the Toronto Police would have to higher 5 times the amount of cops they now have on the force just to even begin to deal with the ops with a success...he admitted that it was so out of control he felt that the police where beat!................
