Barack Obama , Pro or against?
Well i can guarantee you all if Clinton wins i will be moving to Canada because wow...i mean we will have nothing but major problems if she becomes president.
I think everyone should go take a long hard look at Senator Ron Paul. Really read over his views on todays government, if you listen to the man in debates...you know hes right. Saddens me though that he is so blunt about what he believes i think it turns alot of people off.
Senator Paul said something in a debate that i think was just genius, "We must rethink the very role of government in our society. Anything less, any tinkering or 'reform,' wonâ??t cut it." Amen to that!
Also he would do so much good for our economy...not to mention the hault on the war against marajuana AND getting rid of the DEA! He says the DEA is just a bunch of power hungry people that do what they want when they want and i stand beside that!
He is simply amazing on his views...
OH...my reasons for hating Hilary? Shes a f*#king lier! And not to mention that she is so all for all this new environmental crap that we would all be riding bikes to work in a few years because they think that driving cars is killing our world. Well...i hate to tell all you environmentalists, the world has cycles! Sure im for saving resources and stuff but to say that driving cars and polluting the air is what is causing our temp increase and storm strength increase among the other billion things they blame that it causes is just ridiculous. Look back in science, in the medieval times the world went through a drastic heat wave for a few years and had very strong storms and hot dry summers, a few years later the earth rebalanced itself and things returned to as normal....think of it as smoking weed! You smoke and for a few hours you are different but your body re corrects itself and the drug slowly wears off and you return to normal cognitive state.
Well..my hand hurts and i could ramble for ages but thats all i have to say...:jointsmile:

The global warming thing... well the global warming debate could go on many pages in a thread of its own. But you are not telling us anything new about the medieval warming period, we know. Just because the Earth changes in cycles doesn't mean the cycles going on now aren't inconsistant. The warming period in the middle ages was still nothing close to as drastic as what we are seeing today. And all the warming periods throughout the Earth's history have been consistant with the Earth's CO2 levels; when you look at the CO2 levels and the heat levels, at any period of time, they consistantly rise up and down in near perfect unison.

Barack Obama , Pro or against?
I like several things about Mr. Obama, and for the most part, I think he would make a great President if given the chance. He's got charisma, he's intelligent as all hell, and he seems to have a pretty firm understanding about most of the important issues home and abroad, and what he could do appeal to all parties. Sadly, at least at the moment, Hillary is more noticeable to the liberals voters and representatives...due in part to her radical ideas, her superior fundraising figures and the amount of money she has available to contribute to her campaign, and that damned annoying cackle/hyena laugh of hers...:cursing:
But I highly doubt that I'd vote for either of them, because I'm a fairly conservative voter. I'm not an Evangelical "holier than thou" conservative - I can't stand Bush or his administration - but, nevertheless, I am a moral and a fiscal conservative. And like many conservatives, I'd like to see Ron Paul's name get mentioned a little bit more in the mainstream media, though, I'm not sure how much of a contender he'll be. Based on what I know about Dr. Paul now, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. I admire his willingness to defend the 2nd Amendment for law abiding Americans, while at the same time making it more difficult for firearms to get into the hands of the wrong people - i.e. kids, violent criminals, illegal immigrants, terrorists, etc. I like his stance on immigration reform, his opinion that the government should interfere far LESS in the personal lives of citizens, his opposition to the Iraqi war...and, of course, his positive stance regarding the benefits of medicinal and industrial marijuana!
I'm not a huge fan of Giuliani, I really don't know enough about Mitt Romney to make an informed decision, and I can't remember whether or not McCain is even a Republican anymore...
Luckily there's still plenty of time to find out more about the candidates and their policies before the primaries. I think it would be a trip to see Paul for President, and Obama as vice-President! I won't be holding my breath until it happens, but I think it would be fun to see.Originally Posted by stinkyattic
