5 or 10 should do it for fairly small plants, better go somewhere towards 10 rather than toward 5.

If this is due to electrical problems.... Check the circuits in your room, often one room of a house will be connected to a couple breakers. This is so that if one breaker flips, you dont lose all power to a room.

no its the timer i have it just over heats because it cant take the wattage and ill make sure and get a 5000 watt timer but i have to wait kuzz they dont have them in stock but i want a 250watt hps but cant get 1 yet...
