What do you think of this skirt and jeans?

I like both of them... then again I live in Los Angeles so I'm naturally attracted to stuff like this.

They both would make you look like you are trying too hard to keep up with the trends. Sexy perhaps but you're gonna wear them like for 3 weeks before everyone has already seen ENOUGH of them lol!!!

I tend to prefer more expensive MATERIALS for clothes, not the LABEL that's all trendy. Like, take a skirt like that, but instead of worn out denim, maybe like a tweed and worn with 80s leggins and a pair of stilettos. Hint! Spend the $$$ on your SHOES, jewelry, and handbag!!!
The jeans are cut too low (I'm ignoring the HORRIBLE wash, and all the holes) again giving the try-too-hard look. Jeans are funny... they might look great in the catalog but it's an item of clothing you REALLY need to just spend several hours shopping for and trying out the different cuts in person. It is pretty tough to nail it the first time out of a catalog, unless it's a classic from like JCrew or GAP that you have experience with how they cut their clothes.

I'm not really a fan because of the wash. Clothes like that tend to make you look bigger than you really are.

Thanks for your opinions guys, there from destroyed denim.com and like 100 bucks. Well it could be 70 if you just send in a regular kind and they'll rip them up themselves and send them back but I dont have any jeans that I can send away. I usually dont buy expensive jeans, usually I stick to american eagle b/c there fairly cheap and comfy. But I cant find ripped up denim pants anywhere! And I dont wanna do it myself b/c im not good at styuff like that.

I really don't mean to sound rude but those jeans look kind of tacky.

its kind of crazy to pay somebody to ruin your clothes, i wear the holes into my jeans but I won't pay someone to do it, why fit into trends? they come and go, my style is my own

You suppose? Excuse you but I have a keen fashion sense, and those two articles of clothing would look good on you. It's not everyday attire, or at least I wouldn't wear them everyday...

why would you send some of your jeans away to be ripped up and pay 70 bucks for it...when you can do that yourself by just wearing them???

i only wear american eagle jeans because i've found that they fit me the best. i don't really like to buy jeans with holes in them, because i would rather get them comfy and worn in myself, and eventually put my own holes in my jeans through everyday wear and tear...but the last pair of jeans i bought from american eagle were a boyfriend cut, and they had a nice wash (the wash on the jeans in the picture just hurts my eyes, and i've noticed washes like that or similar also tends to make people look bigger than they really are), and they also already had some holes and such in them, and looked a bit worn in. hole in the left knee, beginning of a hole in the right, bottom hems are a big ragged, worn places on the hip, and on one of the back pockets. and those are from american eagle. when i bought those, i also saw some other jeans they had there that were a bit more ripped up. so american eagle does carry distressed jeans, just maybe not year round. i've mostly seen them in the spring and summer.
