Most mutations will be either unnoticeable, or disrupt something in the plant or seed that will render it sterile. Even the polyploid condition, when chemically forced, will result in germ failure rates in the 90% range!
Stick with freaks that are from solid lines where the mutation or special trait comes complete with an otherwise functional plant!
