Hold your horses there, dude. If you checked, you'll see I haven't even been logged in since the day when you first asked your question. Just haven't been online. OH, and I'm definitely nothing pro, I'm the biggest N00B of them all. :jointsmile:

I just want to know what method of grow did you use in that little setup because it looked like i saw some rockwool and hydroton?!

Well, for more info, you can always refer back to the original thread where they were thoroughly explained. The link is in the first post of this thread (JOURNAL OF A MADMAN).

But to explain briefly, in this small rubbermaid growbox, the plants were not meant to be fully flowered, so they were not set up with any kind of automatic watering system like they should have been. They were basically plopped into a shallow tray that had a few inches of hydroton rocks on the bottom for the roots to grow into, then the 4"x 4" just sit in the tray. They are watered twice daily JUST ENOUGH TO WET THE ROCKWOOL CUBES.

It is important that the plants not receive excess water when you are hand-watering plants that have NO DRAINAGE. Any excess water will sit at the bottom of the planter tray and contribute to unwanted humidity in the box as well as possibly give you ROOT ROT. That would be bad.

Ebb & flow is definitely a GREAT watering system for flowering, IMO, and if one was planning to grow in a box such as this, it would be a good thing to set up a resevoir outside the box and pump in your water. You could then set up a drip system or an ebb & flow system and drain either back into your resevoir or into a separate drainage resevoir.

Another member on here, Bodom Children Of, grows in a rubbermaid box similar to this one, but he grows in soil. That is also an option and that would eliminate the need for a resevoir or any kind of automated watering system, UNLESS one wanted to set one up. Otherwise, one would just hand-water the plants every other couple days or whenever they needed it.

When the plants had grown tall enough from seed, they were cloned and those clones were put into a double bubble rubbermaid growbox to find out their sex. The plan was to find out the sex, then ditch the clones, but since that space was already set up and not being used otherwise, and since 10 out of 13 plants were female...and since people like weed...they were Rating: 5
