Late night Drives ...
I enjoy driving at night - hardly any traffic so it's even safer to put my foot down. I usually end up on the same bit of road - a little narrow country lane near my house - absolutly great for puttig your foot down and testing the cars handling, and you can use both lanes coz you can see everything infront.
Otherwise i'll find a strip of duel carriage way and put my foot down.
I had a Fiesta ST turbo for a couple of weeks and took it out, ended up getting it to just over 130 before i came up to a speed camera [so i had to slow down]
The M25 is great though, day or night time [as long as there aint tailbacks]
A friend of mine has an old Escort Cosworth and we ragged it about a 3 am - no idea how fast we we're going, but the wheels stick to the white lines.
My dads mini used to do that.
Driving fast in really good cross winds is great - one minute your in your lane and the next you've been blown to the other LOL - i supose that's dangerous if theres other cars though.
I still find driving fun - coz i make it fun, but all the people who abide by the law 100% get bored and say it turns into a chore - like shaving. It's looses it's novelty if you like, but i say it's like sex, spice it up and you wont get bored.

i love to drive... i can drive for days.. On my days off work i like to go into the desert and lay my foot on the pedal. I once out ran two cops hiding in someones private property. I was passing this huge ass truck and it was a sheriffs truck and he called a chp on my ass, i had no idea he was a cop until i started to pass him at 125.. WOOPS i just kept going as fast as i could until i found some were safe to lay low for awhile

I take the bike up into the Berkshires and cruise around the back roads, or up Rt 5 into Vermont, where the scenery starts to get really good and you can see the stars better with no lights from traffic or houses.

Nothing better than a late night ride on the scoot. Besides the bugs and the deer..it's all good.

Yeah the bugs may be irritating (extra protein, especially if you are smiling lol) but my aunt's riding buddy was killed hitting a MOOSE in the Adirondacks... 4-legged things worry me.
But my favorite part about taking the ol' yellow vibrator out at night is the smell of the summer air- at different times of year it carries different scents. These past few days, all the wild roses have come into bloom and the air is heavy with that almost sickly sweet smell.
And the currents of cold air that slide down off piny mountainsides are as refreshing as diving into a lake when you're on the bike.
You just don't get any of that in the car.

Deer are big enough...I couldn't even imagine hitting a moose!
