    i see in some pics that people have cut off the ends of their leaves. whats the point of doing this?

    quick question

    That is very common practice when taking clones.
    The point is to reduce the surface area of the leaf and reduce water loss through transpiration while the cutting is growing roots.
    It is not entirely 100% necessary but I find it helps a lot to prevent that initial wilty flop you sometimes get the first couple days.

    quick question

    you were looking at a clone.. it reduces how much the plant transpire's and will use that energy for rooting.
