Two things-

much better 250 watt bulbs are available, and shipping on a bulb is cheap.

You can mod the ballast to work just about anywhere by changing the power cord. If voltage is differant, you go to a differant tap for the hot side.

Digi's autodetect input voltage- you just swap the cord.
