Ok so my mom is a high school teacher in my town... now I myself have graduated high school but my little brother is in it right now... and of course since she is our parent she bugged me all through high school and now she is bugging my brother all the time... well my brother likes to go to school high (which I personally think is retarded for someone who has to see their parent at school everyday and is guarnteed to have to talk to them everyday) and today of course he smoked before he went and saw my mom... then my mom smelled MJ on his breath and basically what happneed was he had to go to the school resource officers office... my mom bitched at him... the officer bitched at him... he cussed my mom out (doesn't happen in my family me and my older sister were very respectful to our parents) and then she called my dad.... and he came and picked him up... Now he didn't get in trouble probably because of the fact that again... my mom is a teacher... but I mean WTF??? Why in the hell would my mom do that?? Why didn't she just let him goto class and deal with him after school? Does anyone else thinks this is really shitty on my moms part?? Also my brother got his truck and cell phone taken away...

Exactly. I wouldn't go to school high if my mom was a teacher, either. But there was, in my opinion, no reason for the resource officer to get involved. I think it's more of a family thing.

First off, you CAN'T go to highschool high and expect to be able to learn. Why bother going to highschool if you aren't going to try to learn? I know kids who smoke before they go to school, and there is no way that you do better on tests if you smoke before you take it. Don't give me that BS. Your mom's a teacher, I know she knows that. Weed and school don't go together. Your mom knows the importance of an education, and it seems like your brother just doesn't care, or that's how she's taking it.

He got caught and now he's getting punished. Isn't that how the system is supposed to work?

It sucks he got caught, and it sucks that she told the resource officer, but she cares about you, that's why she's doing it. She's afraid you'll get caught, not learn, and she's afraid of you're safety/emotional state (it's the teenager years, she knows what you're going through).

Personally, I think your mom had the right to be pissed. I'm working my ass off in school, and when some kids in school high and not caring about what's going on. Why should he have the privelege of going to school if he doesn't want an education? Fuck a highschool diploma, if you don't go to college, you might as well not have it. You're not going to get a good job, you're gonna get some generic ass job, but you beat out the people who don't have that diploma.

Maybe I'm an asshole, but it's how I feel.
