Executing Mentally Retarded People

If the U.S. did away with the death penalty and announced a new policy involving more hands-on work with convicts to help them reform themselves and "change" then do you know what would happen?

I do. I guarantee the homicide rate in the U.S. would more than double. Hell, if I knew that I could kill someone and just have to do some time, there would be some people I would like to off.

not one study proves that the death penalty is a deterant.

and maybe the reason you'd kill someone if you wouldnt face the death penalty is because you have no conscience.

How do you guys feel about executing people who are retarded.... Personally I feel that if someone commits a crime worthy of execution be they mentally retarded or not they should be killed... the fact that someone is retarded doesn't change the fact that they killed someone... you do the crime you do the time/execution weither you be retarded or not.
