If the U.S. did away with the death penalty and announced a new policy involving more hands-on work with convicts to help them reform themselves and "change" then do you know what would happen?

I do. I guarantee the homicide rate in the U.S. would more than double. Hell, if I knew that I could kill someone and just have to do some time, there would be some people I would like to off.

You're kidding, right?

How about countries that don't have a death penalty? Are their murder rates soaring to new heights? Not that I know of.

Then Republicans accuse Democrats of subscribing to a culture of death....

How do you guys feel about executing people who are retarded.... Personally I feel that if someone commits a crime worthy of execution be they mentally retarded or not they should be killed... the fact that someone is retarded doesn't change the fact that they killed someone... you do the crime you do the time/execution weither you be retarded or not.
