How do you guys feel about executing people who are retarded.... Personally I feel that if someone commits a crime worthy of execution be they mentally retarded or not they should be killed... the fact that someone is retarded doesn't change the fact that they killed someone... you do the crime you do the time/execution weither you be retarded or not. There are different levels of down syndrome, those with evaluated mentality below that of the average 18 year old should be permenantly regarded as minors in regards to the law.

Doesn't matter how old you are really. I mean cmon there are 14 year old kids that have graduated college already. There are kids that know more about death than most people.

The diff is they arent as supervised and the innocent people that are in there for things such as depression or bipolar schizos whatever arent protected from serial rapists that are put in there believe me i know cause i had a serial rapist break into my room with a knife in the middle of the night while i was there.There was supposed to be security in the corridor outside my room.I know it happens in jail too but it just aint that easy to break into another persons cell.Anyways i met rapists and murderers in there and believe me they should be in prison getting done to them what they do to others.

i was in a mental hospital before for like 3 weeks, due to depression/suicidal thoughts. the place you were in must have sucked, cuz the place i was in had separate floors, (with locked doors to the stairway, and elevators you need a secret code to operate) which separated high risk patients (rapists, violent psycos) from lower risk patients (suicidal type, non-violent crazies). I dont know mabey its different in austrilia though.

tottaly agree, i think life is to precious, and i dont want the goverment murdering in my name, also i believe people can reform and change even murders. some people say its justice to the victim to execute the murder, but i think we can advance as a specise from that eye for an eye mentality.

i just think its even worse morally to execute a retarded person, cause they dont understand what they did was wrong.
