Their is allways a chance of a complete peice being changed, their are so many factors from the type, brand, color, location, elements,etc. These are literaly just a few factors the list continues on and on , glass will not be ruined but there is always the chance of the original peice being drasticaly changed. This I have learned in just the short time I have been learning about Lampworking, did you know Benjamin Frankin blew glass in fact alot of great scientist did they had to make all their own lab beakers and cylinders and stuff. And in Roman artifacts they find the exact same tools that we use today. I find this fascinating, any way dont mean to tangent off but yeah 505 Glass would be honored to be in your area and it is always best for customs to be made literaly from the ground up(or Sand up haha) However in cases where a centimental pecie is broken it is better to salvage than to thow away(to some people, and some peices anyway)imp:
