    It came from the closet....

Closet Grow, bagseed, appx. 35 days veg., FF Ocean mix (started w/ black gold seedling mix), good sized pots (1'' of rocks at bottom for drainage), 400w HPS, 18/6. Good ventilation, fans on.

1/2 R/O water, 1/2 distilled water /gallon 1/4 tsp. fish emulsion (5-1-1), 1/4 tsp. Max-sea all purpose (16-16-16) Slightly burnt 1 plant 1st feeding, flushed w/a little h2o2 quickly and recovered. - Water once every 4-5 days, wait until 3-4'' down into soil is dry. (About to drop fish emulsion (5-1-1) and replace with Roots Organics (0-5-4) to begin flowering)

Temps 75-80 day (got an a/c!), 60-70 night. humidity 50-60. (First indoor grow....!:jointsmile

I am about to finish up construction for the closet.......and I wanted to make sure everybody else on here approved of the work.

    Pic 1 - Lookin good?
Pic 2 - Starting to block the thermometer! Nice! Haha....see my foot?
Pic 3 - 2'' passive intake. Caulked, pantyhose over bottom for better light blockage.
Pic 4 - Shot of 6'' can fan (270 cfm) mounted to wall w/ 6''-4'' reducers.
Pic 5 - Inside shot of passive intake.

The plan is to route 4' duct from inside of closet, out of hole cut into plywood door, up to fan, then continuing from fan up into the attic, where my carbon scrubber will be placed.

Questions - Should I add another passive intake? If so, how big? Another 2''?
    Does this look good?

Also, what are the consequences of outgrowing your space? (as I have done...) The fan took longer to get than expected, and so it was only 2 days ago that I was able to mount the fan and caulk it. I would have wanted to induce flowering probably last week (pic 6 below) so I could remove any males and give space to the remaining ladies....but the fan situation = no ability to close closet door, hence no 12 hrs. of darkness. (not to mention, a guaranteed temp. problem)

AND, 3 days ago, I spaced off and fed them all veg feeding formula (w/ the fish emulsion) instead of switching with the Roots Organic (0-5-4) So now, I'm thinking I'm just going to have to start the flowering feeding the same night I switch to 12/12. (I wanted to feed them the 0-5-4 a couple days before switching the lights) anyway...

    Pic 6 - From This....

    Pic's 7,8,& 9 - To this, in a week...nice.

    Update:

Day 3 of flowering. Things are getting a little cramped in here, on the watch for males.....

Temps are stable, 75-80 during day. 60-70 night. They've done a bit of stretching since I raised the light, went from 1.5' of distance to 2' after leaves began to show signs of heat stress. This is a used (do not know how much) 400w HPS. Could the bulb be old? I mean, 2' seems kinda close for 400w as it is.....

Alright! Day 8 of flowering. 1 male showed himself 3 days ago, yanked him. (it was the one in the blackgold/FF mix, INTERESTING!:wtf A lot of stretching on 3 of the babies though.....

Out of 6 (random, year-old bagseed) plants, I find it hard to believe that 5 are female......how long until I can be sure that they won't "reverse" on me? I am ultra-paranoid about light leaks and hermies, so I made sure they have no light leaks and complete darkness during night cycles.

    questions, comments, concerns? Anything?

Edit: I'm aware that we have a grow-log section for this, but I can't post pictures yet in that forum!

    It came from the closet....

Forgot to ask, since I was counting on only having 2-3 females at most, I fit 6, 3 gallon pots in there. When I pulled the male, I inspected the roots and sure enough, they were just starting to hit the container and wrap around.

What should I do? let all 5 go and let them get rootbound? Or should I sacrifice 2 and transplant the 3 healthiest ones to larger containers? I wish I could just throw 2-3 of them outside to finish but unfortunately, that would be out of prop. 215 compliance. (DAMN those 100 sq. feet.)

Also, pruning. There are a couple large fan leaves that hang over emerging bud sites and put them in the shade. Should I chop em' off to allow light to get to the emerging bud sites, or should I just let the fan leaves do their natural thing? I know I'm being too conservative for my own good, I already realize that ScrOG/LST would have served me much better than just letting them go.....lesson learned.....

Here's a pic without the HPS lighting, (just flash from camera) taken like 30 seconds before light went on.

Day 11 of flowering.....still not sure whether or not to pull 2 of them and transplant the rest, or let all 5 go and get rootbound......I'd hate to kick 2 outside (like a 99% chance they would get stolen....happened last 2 years), but if thats what it will take for the other 3 to do good....then so be it.

Is it just me or is there alot of stretching going on? 400w HPS MUST be old. The smell is just beginning to get nice and pungent....how long 'till trich's? Any guesses? I love how they took to the rectangular canopy shape instead of just trying to grow the walls down....indoor is so much fun.

And I guess I was right, all 5 are ladies for sure. YAHTZEE!

They do look good....they're stretching for two reasons...you just turned them and your light is fairly high up.

imo....I would dump the two (one is a hermie?) and transplant the three. Spend your energy trying to get the most out of the best three. I think you'll yield better with three good plants than five squished rootbound ones.
