    Joint without a roach

Are joints without a roach any good? I don't have any of those special roach papers so I would just have to use regular paper or business card or somthing. So my question- is rolling a joint ok if you don't have a roach paper thing in it?

Never heard of special roach papers. And sure, any joint's fine. All you need in it is weed.

    Joint without a roach

the only time i ever use one is if i have a lot of left over paper or i think that there are people that will wet the end of it and it will get closed to easy....

it is not necessary to have one in the joint, some people like it, some people dont... me personlly dont think its needed because can roll a fine joint without needing a roach.... when i first started rolling i would use one cuz i would roll it and it would be a kinda loose, so i would pack it some and then there would be left over paper and shit so i would stuff a roach in there...

The "roach paper thing" is not necessary- I just use plain old rolling papers. If you don't have any ZigZags and are using "regular" paper, here's some tips. Don't use any paper that has printing on it. Ink is often bad for you. Thinner paper is better. Since you will have no glue, you may want to wet the joint down with saliva and let it dry again before smoking (this also slows the burn a bit, supposedly). This helps the paper stay in a joint shape. Hold it over a light bulb, electric burner, etc to make it dry quickly. It likely won't burn as well as regular papers, so have your lighter/matches handy.

As you smoke it, you may want to use a "roach clip". Easiest is to get an alligator clip from your electrical junk box and use it. Likely you don't have one, so head toward the bathroom and grab the tweezers. Clean them and wrap a rubber band tightly around them. This will hold your joint, and save you some burnt fingers.

Another way is to make a "roach" by just rolling a bit of match book cover into a tube and sticking your joint into it. They tend to fall out sometimes.

Get/make yourself a little pipe sometime. Something small and easily hide-able. This will save you from the "I got pot, but ain't got no papers" blues. A couple of bucks and a trip to a plumbing section of a hardware store can get you a nice little brass pipe- or go primitive- get some clay, make a pipe and fire it under a campfire/ in a wood stove- put it in, light the fire, get it out the next morning. I can't roll, but whenever my friends do, they don't bother using one.

that all depends on personal preference...
some people will not roll a joint w/o putting some tobacco in there, and others will not roll a joint with tobacco in there...
i like to have just a pure joint, with no tobacco in there because i dont like smoking tobacco very much...
i have rolled spliffs and i must say they arent bad but i would rather have just all weed, it all depends on what you want... and i dunno if black and mild tobacco is good for roling, doesnt seem like it would be but i dunno cuz i have never tried it....

you dont have to put tobacco in it,
some like it some dont, see what you like because everyone is different....
to me it seems like the black and mild tobacco would be weird to roll with... but do whatyou want and see what you like best..... maybe roll two lil ones, one with tobacco and one w/o and see what you like best...
