203 plants in my backyard - awesome!

Hi people this is my first post. and id like to share something with you all; i live in western massachusetts-USA. it is june 24 and i started growing a little less than a month ago. my biggest plant is about 5 inches tall and most of them are trailing closely in size. i have grown before but it has always been un-organized guerilla growing that i paid little attention to, and always yielded a disappointing harvest. so this year. my friends dad gave me a shit load of seeds:thumbsup: which is always cool. The seeds are all different kinds of weed he had been saving up for a while. N E way my girlfriend and i have alot of land behind our house and its very out of the way and private so I'm not worried about police or nosey neighbors. so far we have cut down some growth and crap and tilled the soil. then we germinated the seed in sandwich bags with a wet paper towel in it. then we put the germinated seed in the soil and some in planters, just because. the plot has great sun exposure and decent soil. the only issue i have really is I'm concerned that i started too late in the season to have even an ok harvest

here are some pics of my crop

sorry, my camera sucks and i took these pics at night. also ive never seen them at night untill i took these they look wilted and the next afternoon they look much better. who knows. Ok so if anyone can tell me what they think about my crop, is it a wasted effort, did i start too late in the season? It'd be much appreciated

    Nice, W-MA represent.

Couple suggestions- COVER CROP!!! Get your butt down to Agway and buy a BUNCH of tomato plants, plant them between your rows to add legitimacy to your garden. We seem to have a bit of a helicopter problem in this state... your plants are pretty out in the open and need a better disguise. Making a thin slurry of water and flour and adding a couple drops of red vegetable dye can be used to further disguise your plants by changing their color just slightly. Paint or spray it on the leaves.

Thinning- you may want to cull runts at some point to give the more vigorous plants space.

Timing- you're late but not obscenely so. The crop will NOT be a wasted effort by any stretch.

how long is a piece of string?
you could get nothing, if you are spotted... you could get a LOT if the plants turn out very healthy and you care for them right.
No use in trying to plan your financial future around a cash-crop... too much can go wrong... don't quit your day job!

Hmm.. 200+ plants, 100 females (if you're neither lucky or unlucky mind you). 1/4 pound dry per plant (low balling for good measure)... 25 pounds dry. I hope you have a good place to dry that much.

But being realistic I would just heed stinkyattic's wise words. Expect nothing and be surprised at whatever it is you MIGHT yeild.

Oh that's another thing I forgot.. yield is much lower when you start as late as you did, giving your plants less time to delevop a large root system.
