This is my first year growing also. I'm in the triangle too, but I've planted outdoors so I won't have any flowers until the August/September/October timeframe. It's been a fun experience though. I've just been fucking around with it... not taking it too seriously. Most of my plants died... but hey, that is how you learn I guess. I've only got 4 plants going now. A Northern Lights, an Afghan, and Orange Bud, and a 'bagseed'. Hopefully I'll end up with at least one female (and hopefully from the 'good' strains). I planted the bagseed first, so it is like 3.5 feet tall. My NL is about 1.5 feet tall. My OB and AF are just starting so they won't yield much.

I'm not sure how the harvest is going to turn out. I'm not risking doing anything weed related at my house since it is not worth losing my property in the unlikely event someone smelled something funny and ratted me out as a criminal (even though I am growing purely for personal use). So I'm going to dry at a spot outside in airtight containers with newspaper in them that I will "breath" and change the papers in once a day. I've gotten mixed opinions on the board about whether that will even work, but I'm going to give it a try anyway.
