Also Jugg I know that you can get the gel capsules and they have the same amount of DxM as the syrup... so why doesn't everyone just take the capsules?? I think im going to have to next time to get it down... Have you ever taken em?? ANd odes it feel like it the trip wasn't as intense if you did?

the gel caps will make you just as sick as the liquid it just takes longer for it to hit you, its not the nasty taste of tussin that makes you sick its the inactive ingredients that makes you wanna puke, and basically the same inactives are in the caps. i took the robtussin gel pills before, it works just as well at getting you high but with the same nausae afterwards. i suppose everyone doesnt trip on it cause a liquid 8 ouncer has more dxm in it than the gels for about the same price. but if its the taste of tussin that really gets at you id say the gels are a good alternative.

I am not fond of DXM for the health reason. I personally believe it can cause Olney's Lesion if used very heavily, and I tend to never want to try anything that can lead to Olney's Lesion, if I know this of course. I don't doubt it is a cool experience, but to me a hole in the brain, or even just consuming a substance that can lead to this under heavy use is not cool in my book. If I enjoy the experience I might be tempted to do it again. If u disagree with my thinking then u should start doing heroin.

Here's the problem I have. Most of the people here are drug users who are mildly informed about the drug we enjoy. However, there are a few people here (myself included) who hope to educate people as well as enjoy ourselves.

But, although most of you correctly understand the drugs you talk about, many do not. In fact, some of you just choose any random forum to say "I'm soooo fukin hihg tright now", and leave it at that.

Here's my point. You talk about DXM like some fanciful drug, and young, impressionable kids read about it. it sounds good. they want to try it. but they can't go online and find the right dxm pills. In fact, most of these kids go into a drug store to get the cough syrup, and get WAY too freaked out to read the bottle, and check for active ingredients. They'll grab a bottle of "tussin" because it's all they could really remember, or some "triple c's"...

End result? LOTS of new DXM users who know nothing about the drug's benefits and consequences, using the wrong drug incorrectly, and subsequently ending up in the hospital, or worse- the ground.

I know I must seem overly dramatic, but my point is clear: if you choose to inform rather than discuss, PLEASE BE INFORMED FIRST. I wouldn't want to be reaponsible for some freshman kid's death, just because I wanted to sound smart.

My opinion on DXM is simple- I treat is as any other powerful psychoactive substance: with RESPECT. Know about your drugs before you try your drugs.

mello, i agree, i try to give them the most knowledge i know but they shouldnt rely only on this messag board for info, they should read more on erowid or other informative sites. i know alot about dxm cause i probly read every single piece of info on the net about it, i dont expect people to go overboard like me, but at least know the precautions and what not.

Anyway. I took a bottle and a half of max strength -DXM only active ingrediant- tussin. My friend took just 1 bottle. We both walked around drunkenly for a while, then fell asleep and woke up a couple hours later saying "Dear god that was the most relaxing sleep ever."

I was high the entire time ((including when I woke up)) on weed I might mention. He was too. Though, he wasn't when he woke up. We both got killer fucking stomach aches before we fell asleep and we were listening to techno blaringly loud throughout the house.

So.. what did I do wrong? I'm fat, so was a bottle and a half not enough? I weigh 250lb, and am 6 feet tall. The other guy I did it with isn't that big at all. Maybe 150 same height. Niether of us hallucinated or had an CEV's.

I would like to enjoy a hallucinogen.. preferably shrooms or acid, but for the time being DXM is all I can get my hands on. Well, that and salvia.

Advice?
