I get that when i try and cut down / Stop for a while (Or when i simply cant get hold of any) Havent really got any tips aside from some sort of excercise to try and tire yourself out and warm drinks helped a little...
Not too sure about any physical, medical evidence linked to insomnia but I do doubt it.
If your trying to cut down then it might not be the best idea to have a J to ease into sleep... (However tempting LOL... And, damn i know its tempting)
Can be difficult but after a few nights of proper sleep you should be good =]

yea there is evidence that certain strains of marijuana can cure insomnia. A nice indica like black domina or afghanis can ease u into sleep very nicely. but when ur trying to cut down on the weed, maybe try gradually cutting the weed down. dont just stop cold turkey.

Valerian is believed to work in ways similar to but weaker than the prescription drugs in the benzodiazepine class. Both increase the body??s supply of a neurotransmitter known as gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA). Neurotransmitters are chemicals that carry messages from nerve cells to other cells. One of GABA??s effects is to regulate nerve cells so they do not activate too often. Like benzodiazepine drugs, valerian may increase GABA production, decrease its re-absorption, and/or interfere with its break down. Unlike benzodiazepines, though, valerian may not have as much residual ??hangover? effect on daytime physical or mental functioning. In addition, stopping valerian after taking it for extended times may not produce a ??rebound? effect (worsened insomnia) as some prescription sleeping pills do when they are discontinued.
Valerian is not usually applied to the skin, but occasionally it may be added to bath water. Inhaling the vapor from the warm water may help relieve nervousness and induce sleepiness. Similarly, shredded valerian root may be put into simmering water so the steam can be inhaled as a relaxant.
Buy it any herbal supplement store or grocery store!
Now for all these insomnia reports it seems that you people are freaking out. Its summer everyone stays up late and wakes up late. If you wake up late you go to bed later. fucking up your sleep cycle sucks but the way to fix it without anything is to stay up a full night and the rest of the next day and you will pass out and wake up early the next morning. Other then that you need to try valerian. I feel like a damn pharmacist telling all you insomniacs to take this . lmfao

Go to a doc and com plain of panic attacks. Just say you want something to help. You will probably get .5-1mg xanax. Take one or two of them before bed, depending on dose, and you should be able to sleep. Last night I had to take 1.5mg and 50mg seroquel to finally fall asleep....but be warned that benzos are addictive and dangerous. I'd only use them if I had to.

Smoking cannabis significantly raises your melatonin levels, 5,000% on average for someone with a low tolerance. It's what causes the "burnout" and chilled out feeling during the high. Melatonin is a hormone your brain naturally creates to tell your brain it's sleepy time. So when you smoke weed and it gives you the melatonin blast, your body stop producing it itself because the weed is doing the job for it; hence, when you quit you have no source and can't fall asleep. Staying abstinent for a few more days, probably a week max, will get your body producing the melatonin itself again, so no worries:thumbsup:
