    Christian Inconsistancies

Inconsistency No. 1. Why do some Christians take the opposite approach to religion than the approach taken by Jesus himself?

Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. (Luke 11:52)

Inconsistency No. 2. Why are some Christians attached to outer doctrines and interpretations when Jesus clearly refused to be bound by doctrines and dogmas?

Inconsistency No. 3. Why do some Christians think it is sufficient to believe in outer doctrines and dogmas when Jesus clearly wanted people to internalize his teachings?

Inconsistency No. 4. Why do some Christians seem reluctant to look beyond their current beliefs when Jesus clearly said that if we seek truth, we shall find it?

Inconsistency No. 5. Why do some Christians cling to outer doctrines and interpretations when Jesus did not base his knowledge on outer sources?

Inconsistency No. 6. Why do some Christians have a fear-based approach to God and religion when Jesusâ?? approach was based on love?

Inconsistency No. 7. Why do some Christians ignore Jesusâ?? statement that unless we become as little children, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven?

Inconsistency No. 8. Why do some Christians fail to understand the statement that the lawyers had taken away the key to knowledge?

Inconsistency No. 9. Why do some Christians ignore Jesusâ?? saying, â??The kingdom of God is within youâ?ť and think that we can be saved only through an outer church?

Inconsistency No. 10. Why do some Christians ignore the statement of Paul to â??Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus?â?ť (Php 2:5)

Inconsistency No. 11. Why do some Christians ignore Jesus' own words that if we believe on him, we shall do the works that he did?

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (John 14:12)

Inconsistency No. 12. Why do some Christians ignore that Jesus had an inner message and that we cannot understand Jesus without looking beyond the outer doctrines?

    Mark 4
33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear [it].
34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

Inconsistency No. 13. Why do some Christians ignore the importance of free will when Jesus clearly acknowledged the reality of free will?

And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou [wilt]. (Matthew 26:39)

Inconsistency No. 14. Why do some Christians take a passive approach to salvation, expecting Jesus to do all the work for them, when Jesus himself took an active approach?

Inconsistency No. 15. Why do some Christians say that all that is required for salvation is to declare Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior when Jesus never said those exact words?

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.(John 14:6)
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12 )

Inconsistency No. 16. Why do some Christians passively wait for the second coming of Christ if Jesus preached an active approach to religion?

Inconsistency No. 17. Why do some Christians ignore that Jesus said we can inherit the kingdom of God?

Inconsistency No. 18. Why do some Christians equate Jesus with God when this seems to violate the first commandment?

Inconsistency No. 19. Why do some Christians think Jesus was the only Son of God?

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. (Job 1:6 )

Inconsistency No. 20. Why do some Christians put Jesus on a pedestal, making him into an idol that none dare follow?

nconsistency No. 21. Why do some Christians think it is blasphemy to see yourself as a son or daughter of God if Jesus didn't think so?

Inconsistency No. 22. Why do some Christians ignore the message hidden in the parable of the talents.

Inconsistency No. 23. Why do some Christians think Jesus has taken upon himself all sins that could ever be committed?

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea. (Matthew 18:6 )

Inconsistency No. 24. Why do some Christians ignore that ideas and concepts were taken out of the Christian faith for political reasons? Why isn't there an open and determined effort to put back what was taken out?

Inconsistency No. 25. Why do some Christians ignore the need for progressive revelation when Jesus saw himself as part of an ancient tradition of progressive revelation?

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. (Matthew 5:17)

And this list could continue on and on... for me the only answer it the quote below... i dont want to seem repetitive, but for me its the only answer...

"Everything we do, everything we are, rests on our personal power. If we have enough of it, one word uttered to us might be sufficient to change the course of our lives. But if we don't have enough personal power, the most magnificent piece of wisdom can be revealed to us and that revelation won't make a damn bit of difference." Don Juan Matus - Tales of Power

Each one follows what each one thinks its right. The level of "rightness" of each one follows the amount of personal power of each one.
And its always good to remember Matthew 7:1. "Judge not, that ye be not judged."

My opinion? ... Most people who call themselves Christians are actually Satanists and don't realize it.

This is simple, organized religion is nothing more than control for the masses.

    Excellent thread!!!!!

There is a book called "The Anti-Christ's bible" which details 222 contradictions in the holy bible..

People believe this religon shit because they can't except death and/or have the need to believe in something(regardless of how ridiculous it is).

Therein lies the truth. The bible is rediculous, and still millions of people on this globe call themselves Christians and follow the "teachings of Christ" but who is Christ? Who is God? No one knows because it was created by man himself to sedate the people. There needs to be something for us to base our moral tendencies on, "God" and "Heaven", just as there has to be something for us to base our immoral tendencies on, hence "Satan" or "Hell". Man created these polar opposites to symbolize conflict within ourselves and within societies. We put these higher powers into the heavens and the underworld to: 1. Be a scapegoat for man-made evil, 2. Be a power to worship when life works out in our favor, simply by chance, and 3. To relieive some of the stresses of everyday life. Don't get me wrong, religion in some ways is very good for mankind, however, it is undeniably based on events that happened thousands of years ago, and was documented strictly by memory, word of mouth and ledgend. We all know how the game of "Telephone" always works out. It starts out that Jesus, a carpenter, brings wine to a party and a couple hundred years later when someone decides to write it down, the story has changed to: Jesus magically changed water into wine. Straight up propaganda. "Religion is the Opiate for the Masses". I want to become Rastafarian.:rasta:

Everything has some inconsistency, thats the beauty of standing behind the idea of Faith, because the only inconsistencies that can be created inside the IDEA of Faith, are internal and depend entirely on the persons perspective. Stop arguing a perfectly fine thing to believe in, whether its this religion or not. It is positive.

I didnt post this to say there is no God, because it is a fact that there is, it was proven to me. I'm just saying Christians and people in most other religeons are just blindly following bullshit. Like Jesus said in my last thread "It is a path of humility not glorification of the ego".
