For those of u that believe
I am so glad that things seem to be rallying for both your sis and the baby. I have a grandchild that was born premature and only weighed 2lbs at birth. Probably because my daughter was only 14 at the time is what the dr's say. After staying in the neonatal intensive care for a month, we took her home weighing just under 5lbs. She had to have a heart moniter on her 24/7 for over 6 months, and now 3 1/2 yrs later she's a ball o' fire
So I know from personal experience that miracles do happen. Is the baby on a respirator?, if so, when the dr's are able to remove it will be an important turning point for the baby. I learned so much during that time of the fragility, and yet the strength of these little bundles of joy. We couldn't handle the baby too much because the dr's said that their systems needed 'restful' time to help finish their development. Too much stimuli would be too much for the baby to handle. We had to feed her with the smallest tube, but each gain was a milestone. Give your sister the emotional support she's needing so badly at this time, as I'm sure you are doing, and I will keep you and her in my thoughts and prayers.
