Angra
Does anybody here listened a brasilian band called "Angra"? They play melodic metal, somewhat like Statovarius... And they have a lot of kick-ass songs, with serious riffs and FAST guitar solos... one of my favourite bands.
Once they recorded a cover of judas priest's painkiller, and i must admit their version is far better played than the original... they really know how to do their job! :chainsaw:Coelho Reviewed by Coelho on . hmmmmm, I bought an angra album once with high hopes from the bits and pieces I had heard. I ended up returning it. The music itself isn't so much "bad", it's just that I felt like it had no direction, no idea where they were taking any song. After a while it's just like listening to a long rambling. Maybe it was just that album, I don't know, it just didn't do it for me.

Well... even if its a very good band, it haves a serious drawback... they LOVE slow, mellow songs... im a fan, and i cant listen one whole album... for, lets say, 2 or three fast songs, there is 7 or 8 slow... and its annoying...
Anyway, there is a lot of fast songs... if anybody else wants to know this (sometimes) amazing band, just hear one of these:
Carry On, Nothing to Say (some serious riffs), Carolina IV, Z.I.T.O., Speed, Evil Warning, Angels Cry, Nova Era, Unholy Wars, Rebirth, and their version of Judas Priest's Painkiller.
