My ancestors left Scotland after the mid-1600's wars with England, some exiled and some just tired of the constant English harassment.

You can take this off sticky now. I wish for no further debate.

I just think that with the geography of great britain, scotland couldn't afford to be on its own.

I saw Alex Salmond talking on the television the other day, and I liked what he said. He seems like an intelligent man, I might be wrong about that I don't know, but anyway he made a good impression with me, better than Jack McConnell or Gordon Brown anyway. That's all I wanted to say.

I'm confused, are you comparing Texas to Scotland or England?

Comparing to Scotland. But I'm not sure of the parallel, except that there are a few Texans who would like TX to become a sovereign nation once more. They are forgetting I think that we had good reasons for joining the US, reasons which I think are still valid. If Giuliani becomes President though, I might change my mind.
You know you\'re high when you wonder why moms everywhere choose Lysol when to normal squares it\'s no wonder. And if a Woolite Pod commercial somehow makes you think of sex.

I am an American, and I believe states should be allowed to peacefully secede from a Union if the people of the state vote, and that is what they want. If Scotland wants to secede, they should be allowed to, but I think it should be 2/3 of the Scots voting yes for independence.
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for legalization. Ron Paul 2008 for President of the U.S!
