Why does everyone hate metal?

I like mainly metal, heavy metal, screamo you know. Well i hate how everyone says that its not even music because its just screaming. Most people just listen to 5 seconds of a song and are like its screaming and i dont want anything to do with it. Its the best kind of music, its takes a lot of talent and the emotion in it is real. Classic rock is good too but i think that it doent have the emotion in it and i think it could be related to rap just because of the way they sing and what they sing about.

It's like people who say slipknot is noise - it's not. It's music, it's detailed, and i can hear everything perfectly so i dont know why they cant.

I've liked metal since i was about 13, i was even in a metal band for a good few years - toured and everything, and we recorded quite abit of material, enough for about 3 albums.

I love metal. The heavier the better...and people make it seem like its easy to scream...which its not..it actually takes alot of practice

I like all kinds of music including rap and metal and even some country. some people just aren't very adventurous with their ears I guess. And some people just dont like it and thats ok, too.

Because it's too loud, i can't understand any lyrics, it sounds like the same noise. It's not classic rock and it's not reggae. That's why i hate it.

The only metal i really listen to at this point is King Diamond and Mercyful Fate, though i will always hold a special place in my heart for maiden. I really hate what metal has turned into over the years.

Listen to the album Ready To Die by Notorious B.I.G. on repeat for 3 months and maybe you will find out.
