I'm of the age where my first exposure to metallica was the black album, and it always seemed to me it's better to work backwards on the albums than foward. After the massive commercial success of the black album it has all seemed too well "commercial". I'm not saying they are sell outs i mean doing a tom cruise movie song that's not commercial is it?, and i'm sure that big battle lars had with napster was just cause he was struggling to make ends meet right? i mean we all saw how poor he was at that art auction. I see this album as just another money spinner, clearley their hearts are not in it anymore. They are claiming to be going back to the old days but they just sound like shit.
