Whoohoo, I'm finally working! :)
I'm sure few if any will care, but I finally got a job after being out of work for the past 2 years, and just felt like anouncing it:jointsmile:. I got the job at the A&W just down the street, said I'd work for no less than $9.50, so they gave me $10.00! Plus I get full medical and dental benefits. Only working part time to see how much I can handle pain-wise, but I'm pretty sure as long as I keep taking crap-loads of painkillers just for my shifts I can keep at it. lol, though I'll have to hide my nerve-damaged spine well since I was hired on the premise of having no medical conditions, they just won't hire you if you tell them that (in my experience).
So wish me luck that my spine doesn't crap out on me and I can finally move out please!
Have a great day guys and gals, I'm off to my first shift pretty soon. :hippy::rastasmoke:Gandalf_The_Grey Reviewed by Gandalf_The_Grey on . There's no national minimum wage, but the NDP is pushing for a $10.00 an hour one. Here in BC it's $8.00 an hour, and the fast food places are having trouble recruiting because of their shit wages, hence they've been increasing it a bit. And the medical benefits are just awsome, my meds cost $160 a month as is. 10 bucks, that's the evils of Canadian socialism for you

i got a job aswell now
Started last tuesdayim working in london with my mum 2 days a week (tuesday and friday), she is in the office but im meant to be out in the timber yard helping put the wood away or pack it up ready to be deliverd. Ive managed to get away with just sitting in the office so far tho lol, first day i was doing the filing(i never realised how tedious that was!!!) then i got given this stock list i had to make sure was all correct on the computer n make sure they was charging people the right price for all of the wood
i felt pretty important lol.
Well yer its £4 a hour and i work 8:30 till 4 on a tuesday and friday
Its my first legal job so its okj :bonghit: pays for my hobby.
Lol i was going to make a thread telling people about my new job aswell but seems you beat me to it lol
Gratz on your new job tho :bonghit:

i work at anw too, the worst yull have to do for lifitng, is the grease buckets they got in the back nd taking out garbage, well do yu work in the kitchen or in the front? cuz if yu work in the front yu dont have to lift anything so yur back shuld be fine. but other than that its a pretty slack job.

well congratulations mate, i hope you enjoy your job and hope you back hold out. And remember laughter is the best medicine. Sorry, i mean, GANJA is the best medicine
I on the other hand just lost my job. I was drunk and having sex when i should've been at work. At least i can look back and think, yes, good times... hahaha.
The only good thing about getting sacked is that they said i could work for a week, cause they have to give you a weeks notice. I said i needed the money, so i'd do the work, and my boss was like "well actually, i don't want you here, so you can be paid for the week, but you don't have to come in", haha, sweet....
