to all dxm users (coricdin warning)
i have read and participated in many dxm posts, i would just like to let people know coricidin isnt a safe form of dxm, i use to use it as my dxm source before leaning about its dangers. This is for mostly new and young dxm users who may not have full researched the drug.
Caution! There is a tablet currently being sold on the US market called Coricidin Cough and Cold. Some DXMers have been taking in the US as a source of dextromethorphan. This version of Coricidin contains 30mg dextromethorphan and 4mg chlorpheniramine maleate. This antihistamine (chlorpheniramine maleate), which is added in addition to dextromethorphan, is an anticholinergic, and can easily KILL you if you take it in overdose amounts; particularly as it is dangerously synergistic with dextromethorphan. (Unlike just DXM by itself, which typically takes quite a bit to cause death.) There have been a huge number hospitalizations and near deaths from Coricidin abuse; and also Coricidin abuse HAS BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR DEATHS! You can read about these at http://www.dextromethorphan.ws/dxmdeaths.htm, and also check the home page of this site for possible death updates. As such, if you use DXM recreationally:
NEVER ABUSE CORICIDIN!!!
i took this off of http://www.dextromethorphan.ws/coricidindeadly.htm
be safe and responsible, i like dxm and dont want it to be schedueled and taken off the market because people go and die from it.juggalo420 Reviewed by juggalo420 on . to all dxm users (coricdin warning) i have read and participated in many dxm posts, i would just like to let people know coricidin isnt a safe form of dxm, i use to use it as my dxm source before leaning about its dangers. Juggalo, thanks for posting that. I think ppl need to know the facts before they take just anything to get high, like cough syrup. I'm not here to bash DXM, just to say that it's not safe unless you know what you're doing.

Many people know this, but care more about getting high than their health. Why else would people do triple C's?

i've got a better idea guys. get some fucking weed. no i will never try DXM and I don't want to. Every time I post about DXM maybe being a dissociative people just ignore the god damn post. It seems like no one gives a shit about not wanting holes in their brains. i wouldn't even take DXM if I got a cold.

I've never done DXM, will I? Maybe. But there's no need for a new DXM or salvia post every day. DXM is alot less complex than salvia although, and salvia should be encouraged.

Response to 'The Bad News Isn't In': Please Pass the Crow
Having reviewed the risks of dissociative use, what is known of those risks, and the reports -- worthless for drawing conclusions, yet still interesting -- from people claiming to suffer long-term impairment from dissociatives, I would not use dissociatives at high doses for extended periods of time, and I think people would do best to avoid frequent or heavy use of dissociatives entirely. Whether due to NAN or not, I find it plausible that impairment due to dissociative use may reappear, or only become apparent, many years after use, i.e., after gradual age-related neuron loss.
