Being a cautious kid, I had gone to a couple of pot parties to just observe. Richard, the owner of the Warlock Shop, was our host and friendly neighborhood dealer. Richard was a relic of the Beat era, with a devilish face, merry blue eyes and a goatee. He introduced me to pot.

It was Halloween and we were partying in Pacific Beach. We were all seated, cross-legged, in a circle passing the joint. I would just pass it to the next person without inhaling. Incense burned amid flickering scented candles. "Akhmad, the Revolving", a local psychedelic DJ, was on the radio playing the Airplane, Janis, the Beatles and more. Richard was holding court, spinning philosophy, community and flower power. We were the "Warlock Shop" family- all of us joined together- all of us trusting and believing. There is something sacramental about sharing like that. Then Richard had joints going around in two directions. Suddenly there I was with a joint in either hand!..... I inhaled.

The first time I smoked pot was exactly thirty six years ago this weekend.
It was the weekend before my 9th birthday. My friends Daymond, Marty, and Robbie had all been toking for a while already. They had told me how cool it was, and finally I was there to smoke it with them. They had a bag of Mexican schwagg. We smoked about three joints, but I felt nothing. My friends said that they could tell I was high, but that I had to 'learn how to feel it'.
A couple weeks later, we tried it again at another friend's house. We smoked a joint, and he turned off the lights. A few minutes later, once we could almost see in the dark, he set off a flash bulb!
... I've pretty much been high ever since.

well first time was when i was four from shotguns and tea, or so im told. but the first time i actually lit up was 7th grade i found my dads and had two bowls and i didnt think it was workin but the bathroom reeked so i took a shower... then summer between fresh-soph year in highschool my brother got me FUCK UP i kept laughin cuz i saw a "triangle" (i later found out i was squinting) and like i felt bubbles n shit (pulse?) and i was sprawled out on the couch and we were eatin this HUGE tube of gum and he handed me a blue and green one and i was all excited like "WATERMELON AND BLUEBERRY!?" and popped em in my mouth and my brother was like "naw apple and mint" i made a nasty face cuz it sounded so gross but it still tasted great... every 3 minutes he gave me 2 more gumballs to stuff in my mouth (sorry this is gettin long) then later i went to my friends house cuz it was 4th of july and he dont smoke and i was all passed out on his couch at 1pm hes like dude get up and he says i told him i wasnt sleeping, i was aware of my senses

In the woods across the creek in my buddy's backyard. 3 of us. Don't really remember it all that well. Hell, can't remember a damn thing since that day. It was before I ever smoked a cigarette. I think that's kinda cool. First intoxicating substance ever was mushrooms. Now which is the gateway drug?

My the first time i smoked nothing happened..The next few times i smoked, i would just get a very slight buz but my friend would be way stoned..and we were smoking some dank, mind you...But the first time i got HIGH was in my backyard at like 12 in the morning. I smoked a nice joint of some dank myself and just came in and chilled in my basement.but it wasnt an crazy hallucination-ish high like some of you are saying your first high was..Idk. You might say I kind of worked my way up to AUCTUALLY getting high so maybe i was kind of used to it.I hope that makes sense :stoned:..

ME and three of my life long friends, decided to go splunking and one of them brought osme weed, we got to the waterfall in the cave and sat around it and lit up a joint and two bowls, and passed and passed. Wow was that a good night.

I was chillin at my house, and walked over to my next door neighbors crib. The kid dost really like me but his friends are always trying to smoke me up. My homie nick packed me a hit, and some how i was able to actually hit the grav bong correctly first try. I felt pretty good. My other friend snooch came over and was like hey man give him some of my shit too. I took another g, and was fuckin laughing my ass off. Next we all left for a basketball meeting. We started watching film, and i was like giggleing in the back the whole time. I must have eaten about one large pizza, and three king size hershy bars. Plus the game was more exciting. The coach kept on looking at me though. We finished the game fuilm, and left the house, and went back to the kids house. I ate some burgers, and played nba live. Great day on the whole

I was 8. My mom passed out and her friends handed the bowl to me. I just about hacked up a lung, and spent the rest of the evening acting like a retard for my mom's friend's viewing enjoyment. Then I passed out, and woke up acting retarded the next day. Some good indra, though I didn't know it then.
