When mine did, they wanted to know why. They "prohibited" me from smoking again. At the time, I rebelled because I was stupid but they knew all along. And when it mattered, I was doing other shit so weed wasn't their biggest concern.
I think it depends on what kind of parents you have. Thankfully, both of my parents have always been very liberal. They rather know WHY I smoke.

and now, my mother tells me she only cares because it's illegal. But she knows I'm not stupid anymore. So she rests at night knowing all I do is get high. And my father......LMAO.....he's the last to point fingers when it comes to drinks or drugs. He likes to but he knows it's hypocritical. But just like my mother, he says he knows I know what I'm doing so he's fine with my weed use.
