To say nothing of the japanese casualties. Actually agree with you on this one, though I don't see why the second bomb couldn't wait a week or two. A cynic might say the russian decloration of war on japan was a factor. Back to the topic at hand, I said arafat would be missed, and sooner rather than later. Sad but true.
