Hehe, I should have seen you coming Staurm  .

The fact is, millions of people bought the first Manhunt... Did the murder rate escalate overnight? Of course not. Is the games industries only audience impressionable youngsters? Of course not. Watching Hostel II is like watching a fetishistic sadism pornography, yet noone bats an eyelid. You can buy 'I spit on your grave' and 'Bais Moi' on DVD in any high street retailer, two films that are free of any artistic merit and utterly, relentlessly focused on the rape and murder of innocent people. But hey, it's ok because your just watching it, not actually doing it, right? Surely watching that shit is ten times more likely to turn anyone into a psycho? Not that I believe it, but it seems more likely than anyone being influenced by poorly textured, blocky, barely realistic looking 3D models on a computer game. Any gamer knows the 'intimate relation' to the on-screen action is nothing but the fun to be had in games, it's the whole freaking point. It's pure, unjustified paranoia and STILL something that has not been proven.

Manhunt 2 banned in the UK/AO rating in the US What a bunch of bullSHIT. I've been looking forward to this game for ages, and now i'm being told it will hurt my poor, fragile mind by a bunch of fucking paranoid old ladies. The relation between violent video games and real life domestic violence has never once been conlusively proven. Children can no more buy this game in HMV then they can walk into Hostel II at their local Odeon. Both reasons for the ban are total bullshit. Surely the whole idea of being an adult is making your Rating: 5
