Manhunt 2 banned in the UK/AO rating in the US
The thing about Manhunt 2 is, the details of how brutal it is exactly have been intentionally kept back. Even the reviews i've read hint at how it would be wrong to spoil the experience, you just have to play it. I wonder how fucked we're talking here. Either way, it just makes me wanna play it more.

I think the new Resident Evil game looks sick. Didn't like the first one for the PS1, but this look actually quite good. Reckon my next purchase 'll be probably Metal Gear Solis Ops or Tomb Raider Anniversay, depending on whether they fuck it up or not which they probaby will.

Staurm have you played Resident Evil 4? You mentioned playing RE 1 and not liking it yet you didn't mention playing any others. RE4 is absolutely amazing and nothing like it's previous games. I played RE3 and Code Veronica before I played 4 and while I found some enjoyment out of them I didn't really care for the series all that much. But RE4 is probably one of the best games ever made (not THE best) just one of.

I agree with these sort of images and ideals not being put directly into childrens views, However this is what the rating system is supposed to sort out. If something isnt fit for children, it should recieve the adult rating thus cutting down on its exposure to children.
However, banning the game from free thinking adults also is a step too far in my opinion. If someone is going to go out and try to 'recreate' what he/she sees in a video game then surely this shows problems on a deeper level than simply what videogame he/she is playing.
Gotta agree that there a quite a few films outhere that portray violence and sexuality in a glamerous way that would be undesirable for younger children to see... And these films recieve the appropriate certificate.
This game WILL be released in some way or another.
As slipknotpsycho said, Rockstar (I think?) will have spent too much money to just scrap it all. The game will be released, and the kids will be waiting when it does... Waiting and wondering what got there parents all hot under the collar.

I remeber the first one. Wild stuff and pretty graphic and brutal. I never could finish it though. I like how you had to sneak around then bust a guys head open with a crowbar.
Banning it is going a tad too far if you ask me. If you ban that, you may as well take most weekday TV shows off.
I think you should have to be legal age to buy it though. All I know is back when I was 14-16, the youths weren't near as angry or violent as some are today. There has to be a reason for that and I can see how some of these games would influence a young, developing mind in a negative way.
That's just me though.

Mate, he's not lying. Get yourself a copy of Resi4 right now. Try to stay away from the PS2 version if possible, it's all about maximum graphics on the Gamecube or Wii for the best experience. It's mindblowing, what are you waiting for.... GO!
